Algorithms are like ghosts --- they used to be people but now they just float about, knocking over vases and paintings, forever trying to get our attention. It's not working very well. Nor is it predictable.

Without knowing exactly what was being sought, I can't measure success or failure. I can't imagine this platform's goal was to piss people off - that box I feel I can safely check. But then what was the reason for the "upgrade?"
