And your confidence in ultimate victory springs from passion, and not reason.”

Well, I think the Democratic party needs a little more passion. I’m not saying, set reason aside, but reason alone doesn’t bring about victory, especially in politics. Was our current President elected as a result of a reasoned approached to his qualifications to lead this country?

I just checked the NY Times poll and they show it as: 26% - 16% -16%

Biden, Warren and Sanders. Biden is the reasoned choice. Biden is the most electable. Biden is (fill in the blank.)

Personally, I like the man. He was a good partner to Obama as VP. But the next President? I don’t know. I am torn on this point of electability. It’s important and I understand it, but at the same time I kind of hate the concept.

Think — Marriageability. I should marry the woman who will probably make the best “wife” rather than marrying the woman I love. Or Player-ability. Draft the athlete who will most likely produce the fewest problems, fewest upsets, fewest controversies and still maintain a good batting average, or the athlete who can transform a franchise?

I wish I could blend the top 4 candidates together — now that would result in someone electable.

I like Mayor Pete’s ideas and approach. I love Bernie’s passion. Warren is fierce and lord know, we need that right now. I just hope-pray-wish that whoever is the last person standing, is wise enough and reasoned enough to see what will work to help this country and incorporate all the good that’s out there right now..
