Back in my Brooklyn days - the term thug was used occaisonally and it pointed to someone who pushed and bullied and and took advantage of situations for self gain. And 99.999% of the time it was addressed to fellow Italians. So, go figure.

Those who chose in their lives to go beyond the norm and be inclusive with people and be respectful as The norm, deserve to be excluded from the Woke Brigade's wrath. Honestly, its all a little too fascist for me. Reminds me of the Black Shirts of Italy, circa 1936, making sure citizens "behaved" properly according to new rules set down by Il Duce. Argh!
