Curious, Jim - what prompted you to write this ? I tend to agree with you and have reached this particular crossroad several times on my own.

There are lots of rules that appear to have been created for the sole purpose of filling an article rather than blazing a new trail.

Many "rules" out there are like road signs that read: Bridge is Out - when the evidence is right there in front of us.

As I said, just curious.
