Dan,
I’m not a Christian but I find a lot of what you write to be genuinely insightful and different than what most Christians write. Like 99% of them. Most present their side of things as the only side of things. Hard to continue listening to another person when the first concept out of their mouth is that you and your point of view are wrong.
My theory/opinion about why Christians do these seven things is because their “figurehead,” Jesus was the son of God. Not a believer in God, not a faithful disciple of God, but his son. That automatically elevates everything said, done, or whispered about to the status of absolute truth, and a position that is superior to everything and everyone else. if you refer to someone as your Lord and God that carries a lot of weight. I think most Christians find it difficult to demur to another perspective when they believe that theirs is the most accurate and honest. Just a theory.
