Fascinating piece, George. Taller is right up there with "fatter" or "bigger" as useless adjectives. Giraffes are taller for a reason, people not so much. I've found such descriptions are usually connected to an ulterior motive, usually to sell something - an idea, a product - or to use that body type to sell something. As a result humans are conditioned to look to others for approval. To meet certain criteria (set by others) in order to be viewed as perfect or just right. Just folderol really. Certain people buy the good wine/clothing/cars so we should strive to "be" like them. We're fine as is. Thank you, George.
