Funny article. 😉

Not sure if you should quit though. The subject seems to provide a good deal of material for your stand-up. 😎

I quit smoking three times before it took. The last time, 1981. I started when I was 14, so the first time was easy. Then I discovered that weed went well with menthol cigarettes and I was hooked for another decade.

The last time was the easiest. My wife of two-years, told me I woke up every morning sounding like her grandfather. Motivation comes in many forms. By that time (28) I was smoking two packs of Benson&Hedges a day. I would frequently find myself with one lit cigarette in hand and another burning in the ashtray. Stress does funny things to a person.

But for some reason, lost in the haze of time, I switched to Sherman’s all-natural cigarettes and dropped down to 10 cigarettes a day. Gone were the 985 chemical additives that made quitting so damn painful. After 6 months of Shermans, I stopped… never to return.

I’ve told others about this inadvertent method of quitting. I slowly “detoxed” myself off the chemicals, reduced the urge by 75%, thus reducing nicotine intake and Bob’s your uncle. It worked for me. Have no idea if it would work for anyone else, but hell, better than night sweats and dreams of being humped by the Terminator.

Good luck.
