Germany is the 1930s and early 40s had the best propaganda machine on the planet. And they didn’t have the Internet, Facebook or any other form of social media. Their messages were short, direct and held a small grain of truth, for the recipient to latch onto. That’s why it worked.

Trump and those that work his propaganda machine understand this and effectively disseminate small amounts of false information, tied carefully to small amounts of truth. Like giving your pet dog a nasty pill wrapped in veal.

I believe our only antidote for this is the truth — carefully, relentlessly and with unwavering enthusiasm - disseminated to everyone, whenever and wherever we can.

That Germany collapsed. The USSR collapsed. It’s hard to build or rebuild a nation based on lies. Force must enter shortly and I have faith that Americans will eventually see this. We just need to make sure it sooner rather than later.
