Great compilation Dew. I've always admired succinctness. The ability to say something meaningful or profound or just plain funny in as few words as possible. That's why I am drawn to poetry.
But I don't mind it when a writer splurges and takes me gently down the rabbit hole to uncover remarkable secrets that only Hobbits know.
There is a quote, at times attributed to Hemmingway, that apparently was written in 1946 by Paul Gallico. It is only when you open your veins and bleed onto the page a little that you establish contact with your reader.
