I can’t disagree that many Boomers voted for Regan and Trump — that’s a done deal. They were also involved in Big Oil, Big Pharma, and others — but they didn’t create them and they weren’t the only ones. Interesting that you picked these two — very similar people in my opinion. Though I would probably get flayed for saying that too loud.

Boomers also created Green Peace, ACLU, SLPC, and literally hundreds of other organizations and initiatives that forwarded very altruistic programs.

The point for me is — how do we separate out decades of good and bad and make a determination if this generation goes in the books as the goat or the hero?

My piece was certainly not trying to make that call. I was personally tired and people NOT seeing me and seeing only my gray hair and general age — thinking, he’s a Boomer.

If you want to look at the Boomers as Stewards and rate how well they did in that role for the last 30+ years (years when they would have actually had influence over it) that’s worth the exercise.

I’m sure we’d get failing grades and passing grades depending.
