The pendulum is a fickle creature - lately it keeps swinging from one side to the other, rarely stopping somewhere in the middle where most of us live. There's an accepted datum out there that every argument or upset is equally shared by the parties involved. This is where the pendulum does its thing. If you were there then you're IT along with the other party. Only sometimes, many times perhaps, one party causes the problem. The guy who gets behind the wheel after 5 drinks. The child who thought hubby's advice to stop talking until you get what you want was a workable idea. The kid who borrows the car and leaves the lights on overnight and questions - why didn't you see the driveway lit up last night? Estrangements suck and sometimes both parties need to own up. But sometimes one need to look a little deeper and go - yeah I f**ked up. Had a lousy month at work and blamed you. Let's talk. Wouldn't that be wonderful. Cheers my friend.
