Hey, Joseph, a good one here.

As you say, change is inevitable so why fight it. I think we resist change because of what it means to us - not the word itself, but what is behind it that gives it meaning.

Change = death.

Change = a new job

Change = a marriage fading

Change = winter's coming

Change = a new relationship, will this one work?

Humans never forget, even if the images fade, the emotions are still there needling us to react. But most change is nothing. You took off your socks and put on a new pair - no disasters. You threw out old potatoes (into the compost heap) and added new ones in the bin. You watched a new boss come and said goodbye to the old one you liked. Days continued like they always did. Change is life. As the seconds tick by change is happening, unrelentingly. Best to gird our loins, strap ourselves in and enjoy the ride. Cheers Joe
