Hey Kathi, thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I’m finding a lot of these comments to be very enlightening. Maybe it's just my circle of friends and acquaintances, but the Boomers I know definitely have had their fair share of failures and heartaches. They lament how they f**ked things up along the way. Lost a job, lost a home. Just don’t hear them pointing the fingers at the Millennials and others because they know they’re not perfect.
But there are those who are perfect — and God I wish they would write a book and let the rest of us know how they did it! They do not have a problem letting others know that in their own terms, they really are closer to God. Who knows what will happen when the final tally is done — I have a feeling they’ll be lining up at the Complaint Desk with a lot to say.
And you’re right, we were all 18 and 30 and we like to forget the litany of mistakes we made becoming who we are now. My problem — I can’t forget any of those mistakes. Not a single one. They’re all cataloged and indexed and are flagged to remind me as I go through life. But that’s okay. They keep me real and humble. I genuinely like people. I know they work hard, try hard, are generally honest in their efforts, and deserve an even break. So, it’s my job to not get in their way and when I can, help them.
Cheers.
