Life is circular — isn’t it. I experience moments of deja vu all the time, as I see something and think — didn’t I pass that years ago?!

We’re always experiencing what seems familiar and maybe it is because there was something once, just like it. Or maybe because the Universe has its own algorithm and thinks — you need to see this again. Not sure you really got it the first time around.

Perhaps memories do have ghosts — a fragment left behind for us to cling to. To grab and slip into our coin purse, hold it again another time.

I feel my dad with me sometimes. Is he visiting or am I reviving a memory so well, that it comes to life for a moment. Lingering there — leaving the scent of his aftershave. Hearing words whispered — you did good.

The parts of him I miss most — are those that never came to be. What could have been.
