Hi Scott: Thanks for this update. As a writer and editor I know that most of us are trying to navigate these waters with certain destinations in mind.

I believe every writer wants to a) get better as a writer, b) become more effective in reaching an audience, c) get some feedback on how personal changes made are impacting this objective and d) be able to get some feedback, stats and such, that tells us if we're going in the right direction.

Chosen for Distribution is some guidance. Taking it away, just gives us less to work with. Especially when the curation process is about as well known as Coca-Cola's secret formula.

I think most writers are willing to do the heavy lifting with their craft if they have an inkling on what those changes should be. In other words - what's likely to work here on Medium.
