Hmm …

Woke … “someone who is alert to injustice in society, especially racism”

Okay, I thought about that for a few minutes … had some breakfast and then thought about it some more. So, what is the problem with being woke?

I must be missing it, must be too old to be hip to what this is all about.

Or not.

Woke is awareness. It’s an awakening, if you will. It’s not about radical feminism or radical anything. That side of it, is spin. It’s what happens in this world of endless information, Photoshop and anonymity. False information seeps into our society, like sewage seeping into the aquifers. Definitions get changed, perceptions are altered and influenced and we’re all end up effing arguing with each other about nothing much.

Woke … new definition. Being aware of our environment, what role we play in it, what role others play in influencing it.
