Honestly, it was a combination of things I was responding to. The specificity of Michael’s comments, not being generalized. The comments I read from others about what Michael had written — and how I felt about them. The fact that the concept of a real man, had been used an abused so often, that I was responding to this as well. That its definition had been changed throughout the years to mean so many things.
