I agree, luck does play a factor in becoming successful. But then … what is luck? Does luck come to us when we least expect it, and if so, from whom?

Are those who are actively going about achieving their goals more or less likely to run into luck?

If we believe in luck, in God, in the generosity of the university, are we more likely to be granted a wish than someone who doesn’t? Than someone who scoffs at the notion?

Luck is tricky. In my opinion it’s a created result, not something we trip over on our way out of Walmart. When we believe in its possibility, accept its fallibility and are willing to put in the work preparing for it’s arrival, then I think we’re more likely meet it head on. Lucky us.
