I feel the same way before every meal. I stand next to the stove and fridge and think - I'm hungry. I would like to eat now. I would like "James" to step into the kitchen and prepare a meal for us right then and there. But I don't have a James or a John, I have a Joe. And he's it. So, Joe gets out the eggs, the bacon, the taters, the whatever else his creativity demands and begin. Then I have to do it all again in 5 hours only bigger. But after the satisfying meal, I appreciate what Joe did and figure, that's what's required if we're not eating out every meal. Swimming and cooing off in a hot & humid August in the NE is worth the effort - most of the time. Unless you head to the beach every day. 😊
