I grew up in Brooklyn in the 50s and 60s and had the experience of knowing people who were Holocaust survivors. Spoke to them, saw the tatoos on their arms. It was impressive for someone under 10 years old. This experience grounded me in this reality, and helped to it firmly in place over the years, when some people tried to make like it never happened. We are all responsible for ensuring this is never forgotten.
But beyond that I simply don't assigned stratas to our population. I don't see this group as being more culpable than this other group.
We're too connected. Pull on a Millennial and somewhere a Boomer feels it.
Just respect each other and listen. Use critical thinking to sort out the false narratives - it can be done. Cheers.
