I remember when Ford kept "upgrading" the look of the iconic Thunderbird car. By 1978 the thing looked like a small barge that got beached. About 40% longer with a huge front end - it was in a word, ugly and performed equally well.

Change is what you do to improve something. Everything else is usually referred to as mistakes.
