I respect anyone who takes the time to go on a spiritual journey, so kudos.

The chronicle of your journey however, seems a bit circular and closed off to me. In other words, you started off essentially a Christian, went through a “process” of discovery, but ended up back where you started. Which is fine, in an of itself. But in the process, you gave short shrift to other world religions. Your main point of reference, is Christ. Everything you studied, you likened to Christianity, which for me, means you missed the point entirely. Buddhism, Hinduism and other religions date back more than a thousand years before Christ existed. The Upanishads (a summary of Hinduism’s core principles), alone, date back almost 1000 years BC. They are not just like Christianity, nor are they training systems as one might associate with a CPR class. They are paths towards a greater and more visceral understanding of the universe. Not the one with Christ at its center, but the universe of which Jesus was a part. And one that he very clearly acknowledges in the bible.

I’m sorry, but religion (and any associated spiritual journey) is an important and vital subject to billions of people. I feel it should be treated with more depth and understanding, not to mentioned objectivity, than a 6 month journey to discover the best pancakes.

A good start, but in my opinion, you’re not done yet.
