I spent my late teens in an altered state - right, it's a more elegant way of saying I was stoned most of the time. But during those moments of detachment I somehow managed to gain insight into the human condition. How we think, why we do what we do.

Reality is often disobedient - won't do what the fuck we want it to do. This pisses most of us off - slowly, not like a flash fire or anything - one day at a time. But eventually we blow. We change and get gnarly and full of rage. Not Marvel comics kind of rage, where worlds are destroyed - just human rage. Small swaths of our lives get scorched and we blame everyone around us for the mess.

That's what she was doing. Blaming you and spewing out a little bit of truth (things she heard or read) that makes the words stick. It's what nasty looks like when it emerges.

Yeah, her words, as important as a fart. In a second it's gone and we're all the better for it. Walk on m'lady.
