Interesting article. Though I have to admit, I found the comments even more interesting.
Quiet quitting on anything is giving up. You can quiet quit on a team and go through the motions, but with no heart. Still pissed that you're on the 3rd string team and not stsarting.
Doesn't matter. Quiet quitting, more importantly is giving up on yourself. What benefit does one gain from not trying, not being engaged.
By the time anyone loudly quits a marriage there were 5 or 50 keys moments that could have prevented that but were ignored or not confronted.
Marriage is the toughest gig out there - it takes effort. The reason 50% of marriages end in divorce is because communication doesn't take place. And as some comments noted - it's a two-way street. True. If the interest isn't there to resolve a problem about who handles the Recycle - then you can pretty much predict where that marriage will end.
With that said, quitting is sometimes the right decision. I saw many old school Italian marriages "endure" painfully over the years. Not worth it. Should have moved on.
Communication is vital in picking the right partner and in keeping it going.
