Interesting stuff here, David. There's one scene in the recently release Equalizer 3 movie, where the main character (McCall) stares into a bad guy's eyes as he dying. I mean gets right down, three inches away and watches as the spirit leaves the body. It's intense. But experience has taught me that this is the only way to deal with problems, traumas and the like. Get down close, three inches away and stare at it. It's really not confrontational, it's observational. You're seeing the "thing" that is troubling you as it is. It's scary, it hurts, the last thing you want to do is get your nose right up against it and yet that is exactly what we need to do. That's when it begins to go away. Good article.
