Isn't that the truth! I do that from time to time - like this morning. Have you been peeking in again, PG?
I do appreciate a smart analysis. I do enjoy reading about wins - mine included.
But sometimes these articles feel like someone writing about how they found a $100 bill in the parking lot at Costco - and sharing tips on how others can do the same thing. What?!
Sometimes we strike a chord. We say something that others needed to hear at that moment. Other times it feels like we're shouting into a deserted warehouse in a ghost town. The bats seem interested - but no one else. I guess it happens.
But trying to figure out what others want to read at any given moment on Medium - feels a lot like figuring when someone over in Washington DC is about to do the right thing. It's really, really tough.
In the end we all believe we have something of value to offer others. A helping hand, a soft shoulder to lean on, a friendly thank you, just because. And most times this is why we write . . . and okay, to make a little extra $$ for our gray years.
Good article, Mr. Barnett.
