It’s difficult to understand why more women don’t reject this doctrine. In Christianity and Islam (just two examples) women are overtly made inferior to men. Some consider wearing a scarf or hijab a sign of religious deference while refusing to see it as a means of separating the two sexes.

I once saw a man walking in Costco in shorts, opened shirt , gold chain and sandals (in was August in CA) while his wife, in full burka pushed the cart behind him. How was this a show of respect to a woman? This wasn’t the first or last example of this.

If God came first then religions came second to explain what God meant and men decided they would do all the ‘explaining.

Complementarianism is another softer term for misogyny. Men believing men are better.

Liked your article but do believe Jesus would be appalled at those using his name for their own selfish reasons.
