It’s easy to be negative. And I’m not sure why. Negative just seems to come easier, while positive takes effort. It takes discipline and direct intention. Maybe we’re hardwired that way (but hopefully not).
I use commuting and traffic as my benchmark. If I can get through an average day (and 200 miles) without thinking the worst of my fellow drivers, without thinking everyone should get retested, then I am successfully living a more positive life and I can use these lessons learned in other areas of my life.
Positive may take more effort, but hands down, it’s worth it. Thinking bad thoughts, however you frame them, just sucks the joy out of life.There is no intrinsic value in thinking most people are bad or heartless or lack basic compassion. The universe listens and hears. If we believe positive is doable and practical it will come about.
