I've always been an intermittent fan of Hemmingway. I read a book back in high school, then another a decade or two later, and then another about 10 years ago. He is very conversational. A lot like Louis L'Amour. Read about 90 of his novels. Many of them are 100 or 120 pages. Simple and to the point and filled with visuals that you easily fall into. Both have been unknown mentors of mine.
Cheers on a good piece, George.
