I've said (written) this before - You get what you incentivize. As long as people get clicks and $$ by "being" an expert, guess what they'll be. If someone tells me their story about depression or anxiety and how they recovered, I'll listen. And I might even take away some ideas on how to help myself if it rings true. But they are not coming across as Dr. Feelgood - which is the key. It's their story. Their pain, their resolve that got them through it. The rest is . . . blah-blah-blah.
