I've shied away from thoughts of continuing education - can't really articulate an exact reason. That goal always seemed to be in conflict with some other part of my life. Still is I think. But I've never stopped learning, never stopped wanting to - even when that education makes me even more aware of the hurt and craziness out there.

Nearing 70 I still have goals, writing being one of them. Still would like to help the world in some way. Started doing that fulltime in my late teens but that vehicle eventually hit the wall and went away. Left me without a means but with that desire still burning brightly.

We cope I guess, with who we are, and what we need and strive to get both of them matched up somehow - doing something worthwhile and rewarding.
