Life is a spiritual journey. Not always carefully guided by someone or something, but we manage to get through.
Some actively pursue their lives with great effort and preparation. Others are better suited to drifting, with the occasional course correction. Which is better? Not sure there's an answer. I'm somewhere in the middle.
Transitions are tough. Like waiting in traffic on the 405 for 30 minutes while the CHP removes an old sofa from the freeway. Waiting, wondering what it might be. Hoping it's nothing serious. Happy when seeing you waited for an old Lazy-Boy sofa. Then continuing on.
Keeping track of the now; being ethical in conduct. Caring for others. Being nice as often as we can. These things help guide us. When we patiently wait for someone to enter as we hold the door for them, we glimpse the place we were looking for in a different direction. It all works out.
