Submission, by any standard of measurement, doesn’t belong in a marriage, or in any rationale endeavor that I can think of. What does it mean anyway, other than — you belong to me.

People are not pets. Geez, even pets today, are not pets anymore. They are members of the family, they are loved ones. Why would we treat our “pets” better than our wives?

The Bible is a book. It was first written some two thousand years ago, by men. Then rewritten time and again, over the following millennia, also by men. I’m suspicious.

It’s adhered to so tenaciously, because it works, for those that insist on its inerrancy. By those who benefit most by its strict interpretation.
