Not sure if you're still checking comments on this story (I just saw it) but I would have to say, and I actually mean this in a nonjudgmental way - get over it! There are no perfect jobs. There are no jobs that make us happy. There are no jobs that sustain us outside the financial realm - all of that is done by us. We're in charge of fun, fulfillment and satisfaction that jobs bring us. And we do this by turning the proverbial sow's ear into a silk purse. We find the joy, kept locked in the supply room or kept high on a closet shelf in a box marked mementos. We find them. In one period of my life I worked 20 jobs in 15 years. Going about finding a career in the least efficient and effective ways possible - because I didn't know better and didn't have the option to say no to those jobs. I worked jobs so boring it made my eyes bleed (sorry, saying it for effect only) but I got through it. Many jobs, perhaps most jobs don't give us the Je ne sais quoi that we seek, it's found outside of them. That's where you need to look. Advice: Which you can ignore at once - but give it a shot. Write down 10 positive things your job gives you. Don't use the word like. When done, read them carefully, then read them again. Then fold the paper, slide it into a book you're not likely to read anytime soon and leave it there. Forget them. Now restart your job like it's your first day at it. Cheers
