Noticed that one of your readers took exception to how you phrased certain concepts about DeSantis and others of his ilk and was concerned that you might use such language in front of your students.

I truly believe there's been a top secret Republican experiment going on for decades now, that has managed to carefully extract DNA from past generations and splice them into the body politic of the current GOP. They have managed to insert strands of, "Do as I say, not as I do," into living members of the party, so that they automatically object to anything that is contrary to what they think - even when they actually do the same thing themselves.

Or carefully replace all autonomic responses to telling a lie and replace them with a smile and a rapid succession of nods.

The uncanny melding of GOP personalities into a few evolving Barbie and Ken personas - has to be contributed to the behind the scenes working of GOP scientists - somewhere in a lab near Tucson or Miami or any of a number of local Walmarts.

Anyway, my autonomic responses started jangling and I had to write this to bring about some relief.
