Person A comes to Medium and posts an article that they "borrowed" from another writer, changing a word here and there and thinks it's okay.

Person B types an idea in ChatGPT and generates an article it also did not write and changes a word here and there and then submits it to Medium and thinks it's okay.

What's the difference? They're both from other sources. They're both NOT written by the author. Medium says you can't plagiarize - yet it's done all the time here.

AI is "writing" from another source. It's borrowed text and ideas. Text and ideas "borrowed" by the coders who wrote it. Those words came from somewhere?! The millions of lines of code are not merely a copy of the Oxford Dictionary!

AI is not inevitable. It's there to MAKE MONEY. Get things done faster so someone can MAKE MORE MONEY. People will use it here to MAKE MORE MONEY. People who write using AI cannot claim there's still a joy in the creative process - what? ChatGPT let's out a sigh! when it finishes an article?
