I too lived in England for a number of years and I am still a closet Brit in many respects. Even though I have my issues about the monarchy there or any monarchy for that matter, I have never felt that the Queen was insincere. Misguided now and then. Royally blind - as she was with Diana - but never insincere, and that says a lot. I agree - she is at a profound loss right now. I can't imagine her sense of emptiness right now - nor do I wish to - it's too painful. What I do wish, is that she moves through this moment as she has done through all the others. Not perfectly, but with a sense that what she does is important. Has been and can continue to be.
