I'm not blaming the advertising agencies for this (though their land mines are still out there waiting to go off) I'm blaming men for not being able to see through the bullshit.
This is an image most men believe they need to live up to, but never will - because it's false. So they have to blame someone, when they fail at it.
While we're looking at cause and effect here, best not to forget other sources that have contributed to this sexism. Namely ALL religious books and doctrines written before 1900 - that provide the blueprint for what most women experience today.
