Same feelings here. I bought a 2018 model and the manual reminds me of a physics textbook back in college. It's cool that I can see what's behind me when I'm backing up, but I was able to do without for the last 50 years. I just don't get the belief that more complex more more fulfilling somehow. That I'll feel better somehow if my fridge tells me when the butter is low. Seems we're moving away from basics, like talking and engaging and helping neighbors with the grocery bags. I can order shoes, beer, coffee, pork chops and a new microwave and never leave my front porch. Somethings wrong with that image. Cheers.
