Scammers, thieves, porch pirates, they all have one thing in common - the intention to get something for nothing. To pick the pockets of those who work hard so they don't have to. It's all rather despicable really and deflating. To do all the heavy lifting and watch others walk away with the prize. I'm not sure what Medium can so about this but when you look at it - Medium.com is like any business that allows customers and pickpockets in at the same time. Should the customer begin policing their own safety? I know it's tough but keeping their "doors open" is dependent on them handling this problem. Distribution is fickle enough without this happening.
