Sorry about the broken heart. I can relate to that.

The irony, Linda, is that our current world is absolutely glutted with content. You can't turn you head, open a tab or look up from your table at the restaurant and NOT see content everywhere. And yet here and on other platforms, where good writers are working at it - $$$ are going elsewhere.

I can't help but think that the whole writing world has gone in reverse. Writers creating great stories and content and selling them has become content aggregators who want only a limited type of content - so we keep seeing the same articles, the same lessons, the same personalities dominating our screens.

It's my Big Mac theory of creativity. Promote it enough - and everyone eventually thinks that a Big Mac is a great hamburger and that's all they want. So, the world is now filled with Big Mac lookalikes and good mom and pop diners and delis are gone.

When content is everywhere people become saturated and desensitized to good writing. A web page, a flyer, a tabletop advertisement for next week's tacos - all too much.

It is heartbreaking. But you're one of the good ones. Do your work helping other and keep writing. Books are sold outside f**king Amazon, it can happen.
