The five wise men that voted in Citizens United — because corporations are real people, after all, 😜 opened that can of worms, then rapidly retreated to the safety of their pensions and full health benefits.

When I look back in time, I don’t recall seeing politicians automatically as good people — I just never thought of them as bad people right out of the gate. Now I do in general — and that’s a sad thing to admit.

They are so busy doing the right thing, that they really never question their own actions as they run the bus into the ditch. How did a citizen’s reality become so different than a politician’s reality?
