That’s how I felt the first time I read “Howl.” I kept thinking — why are the words not making sense, they’re simple enough. But eventually they did. I also remember reading in kindergarten — “See Spot Run. See Jane run after Spot.”
My mind went a little numb reading this stuff— but it’s the way words are supposed to look like. Ginsberg and others, made the words do what they were always supposed to do — communicate emotions and ideas that slip through the blood brain barrier and straight into the cells. Like a shot of adrenaline.
I am intentionally trying to mix things up, say something backwards — whatever communicates and entertains.
