That’s true. I recently pulled off a freeway and the exit turns right in front of a nearby school. There were about 9–10 boys standing there — all of them on smartphones — none were talking to each other. I found this disconcerting. I think you used the correct term — addicted — and that worries me too. I recently put my cellphone on quiet mode so I would stop treating it as the most important thing in my life. I actually feel less stressed because of that one act. Funny!
