The internet has become the world’s largest stage and people perform on it all the time. Recently I came across several carefully worded answers on Quora and recognized that the same photograph was being used but different stories attached to it. People were crafting their own narratives to generate interest. To me this is weird. You’re telling a story of grief hardship and overcoming something and yet using an actual photograph that made it into the news. Totally fake? Maybe. Why do this except to generate interest on the author not the situation. Grief has become a mask we place on real or imagined situations to generate likes. Yeah, don’t care for the direction this is going in.
