There seems to be this "invisible" cycle of boys becoming men and missed opportunities to teach them. Along the lines of believing that violent video games never have an effect on the minds of children playing them. They do.

If young male children are culturally fitted into a certain perspective, they will carry that into adulthood. If parents don't teach young males to treat girls and women with deference - then it's left up to personal behavior and vested interest. And we know where that tends to go.

When we use "sex to sell" products and movies and TV shows and it's 99% slanted towards a woman's body doing the selling - then THAT is what young males remember and take for granted.

Society as a whole teaches young males that they are superior to young females. It is literally everywhere. Unless we change how we communicate certain concepts - how we portray women as objects to be desired and used - young males will become old males with the same effing attitudes.

Even young tree-dwelling birds stick their asses out of the nest to poop - I think it reasonable to assume young human males can learn a few things if we make the effort.
