Thought provoking article, Bill. Personally, I struggle a bit with gratitude. Not from an inability to be grateful - far from it. But from a hestitancy in taking wins. In letting myself in on a secret - it was a good day!
When I was younger others called me lazy. Not interested. They didn't know me. I'm just not a one-size-fits-all human being. I cannot work at the same level at everything. I'll spend two hours preparing a meal, but tire after three minutes at trying to make the bathroom door hinge stop squeaking.
Does that equate to laziness or selective effectiveness. 😁
Work brings me satisfaction and purpose but gratitude in self - hard for me to take the moment. To savour the sweet taste of butter on bread, when there's things to be done.
Food for thought, Bill. Thank you.
