To be crass to make a point: When you slide a turd into a pre-existing pile of similar turds, the new turd does not stand out. It does not smell any different, or especially look any different, so it fits right in.

When you place a turd in a room that's clean and presentable and generally well cared for by people who believe turds have a place - and a purpose - but otherwise don't belong, they tend not to collect.

Translation: America has to stop electing turds to govern them. Then when one appears in their midst they stand out and can be safely removed.
