Two words, Jessica, Critical Thinking. You possess it, most people shelved it years ago and prefer the prepackaged answers and homilies offered by Fox, GOP on and on.

I like Biden, not as a hero but as a realist. A LOT of people will throw darts at him and whatever he says. He has to keep it simple. Fewer targets to go after. Not always right, sure. Makes mistakes, you bet. But on point he has compassion.

Fear and uncertainty are corrosive. They eat through hope and reason and gnaw away at logic, forcing many to go visceral. "What he says hits me right here, so I'll vote for him."

Critical Thinking is one of the first things to go in today's political and socio-economic climate. You don't want anyone thinking too much - they may see the man behind the curtain.

But you're spot on - we need compassion. Positive thinkers are 98.6% shysters shilling their own work and taking advantage of low morale.

The remainder are good people - listen to them. You can tell the difference.
