Very interesting piece.
We've seen this device in movies many times - from a fixed point of view, the scene before it changes rapidly from winter to spring to summer and back to winter again - all in a manner of seconds.
Giving the illusion that the point of view is always constant - but is it?
I've lived in my house for over 30 years and when I open the front door I am met with the same view. The same houses and trees, the same road. It "feels" like nothing has changed. But is that possible?
Change is always taking place, but seldom drastic.
A Yankees fan wakes up one morning and hates the Yankees, leaves his wife, quits his job and joins a commune - does this ever really happen?
Life is incremental. We change incrementally to meet it every morning. Slight adjustments that over time may seem major but I don't think they are.
Anyway -- obviously a thought provoking piece. 😊💚
